Newsom Releases Stage 2 Guidance
California Governor Gavin Newsom released Stage 2 Guidance for businesses, going into effect on May 8. The goal of stage 2 is to gradually reopen curbside retail, manufacturing and logistics, with later relaxation of restrictions on schools, offices, hospitality and personal services.
According to the state website, all businesses must do the following before reopening:
Perform a detailed risk assessment and implement a site-specific protection plan
Train employees on how to limit the spread of COVID-19, including how to screen themselves for symptoms and stay home if they have them
Implement individual control measures and screenings
Implement disinfecting protocols
Implement physical distancing guidelines

Communications infrastructure
Construction
Delivery services
Energy and utilities
Food packing
Hotels and lodging
Life sciences
Logistics and warehousing facilities
